驻墨尔本总领馆房新文总领事出席领区侨界纪念台湾光复80周年座谈会

　　10月25日，房新文总领事出席由维多利亚州华人社团联合会主办的“纪念台湾光复80周年座谈会”并讲话。维州华联会主席陈运国、部分台胞及领区侨团代表50余人出席。陈小冬副总领事出席。

　　房总领事介绍了中国全国人大常委会通过决定将10月25日设立为台湾光复纪念日相关情况，强调台湾光复是中国人民抗日战争胜利的重要成果，是中国政府恢复对台湾行使主权的重要铁证，是台湾作为中国一部分的历史事实和法理链条的重要一环，是两岸同胞的共同荣光和全体中华儿女的民族记忆。我们将团结广大台湾同胞，共同铭记历史、缅怀先烈，携手推进祖国统一大业，同心开创民族复兴光明前景。希望领区侨胞继续为推进祖（籍）国完全统一贡献力量。

　　陈运国主席等与会代表纷纷发言，深情分享心中的两岸情怀，共同表达对实现祖（籍）国统一大业的热切期盼。

　　活动现场，大家一同观看了《台湾光复历史及意义》《台湾问题由何而来》等专题纪录片。

Consul General Fang Xinwen Attends a Seminar  Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Restoration of Taiwan hosted by the Local Chinese Community

　　On October 25, Consul General Fang Xinwen attended and addressed a seminar commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Restoration of Taiwan, hosted by the Federation of Chinese Association(VIC) INC. Over 50 people, Including President  Chen Yunguo, attended the seminar. Deputy Consul General Chen Xiaodong was also in attendance.

　　Consul General Fang stated that according to the decision adopted by Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), October 25 is designated as the Commemoration Day of Taiwan's Restoration. The restoration of Taiwan is an important outcome of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and a compelling proof of the Chinese government's recovery of sovereignty over Taiwan. It is also an important part of the historical fact and legal chain that Taiwan is an integral part of China, and a national memory shared by all Chinese. We will unite with our  compatriots in Taiwan to jointly remember history, cherish the memory of the martyrs, and work together to advance the great cause of national reunification and jointly create a bright future for national rejuvenation. He expressed hope that local Chinese community in the consular district will continue to contribute to the complete reunification of the motherland.

　　President Chen Yunguo and other participating representatives shared their heartfelt feelings about cross-strait relations and expressed their eager anticipation for the great cause of reunification of the motherland.
